Competition that consisted on designing a new hotel for the small village of Heiden.
With a small plot to work with the idea was to grew on height, but the building should not compete at all with the bell tower that is the icon of the landscape. On the other hand give views to de incredible surroundings was another key point to the project.
The light and orientation played a key role on the distribution of the rooms and the common spaces/vertical comunications. On the other hand the distribution was thought to give the maximun comfort to all rooms and not only to the “premium” ones.
Finally the materials selected to the interior and the façade considered the conditions of the region weather and aesthetics to integrate as much posible with the surroundings; of course without loosing the importance of the economic aspect and the construction process.
